How to combine active ingredients

Wie man Wirkstoffe kombiniert

Today, there is a huge variety of skin care products aimed at solving a variety of cosmetic problems and tasks.

However, sometimes it is difficult for a person to navigate in all this diversity, and sometimes we do not know how to combine products with multidirectional action. After all, everything must be combined in such a way as not to reduce the effectiveness of the active ingredients, not to injure the skin, but, on the contrary, to make sure that the products work without conflict in synergy with each other.

Gskin will help you figure out how to combine products to achieve the best effect for your skin.

Let's start with vitamin C. This antioxidant has been one of the most popular cosmetic ingredients in the world for many years.

❌Bad combinations

1. Vitamin C + AHA / BHA acids / retinol

Vitamin C can cause irritation, increased skin sensitivity, burning. It is for this reason that we do not recommend using active forms of vitamin C at the same time as AHA acids and retinol, but devide them in the morning (vitamin C) and in the evening (acids / retinol).

2. Vitamin C + Niacinamide

Vitamin C tends to like an acidic pH of 3.5, and niacinamide works at pH 4.5-5, so niacinamide can simply reduce vitamin C activity when used together.

✅ Good combinations

Vitamin C + Hyaluronic Acid / Ceramides

Since hyaluronic acid and ceramides are inherently non-irritating and indifferent to pH, using them together with vitamin C is safe and effective.
